It would be better to join chain since there is a much less chance they will go out of business. I go to Las Vegas Athletic Club. I would suggest going to each of them to compare. I have only been in a 24-hr fitness once and wasn't impressed. Gold's has a reputation for steriod heads. Good Luck
References :
Join your local freecycle group - they are all over the UK and really handy.

You would not believe the stuff that gets posted up there - and it's a great way of passing on your own unwanted stuff for others to make use of instead of tipping it!
References :
http://www.uk.freecycle.org/

The key for losing weight is simple - consume less and workout more often - the issues arise when we really try to put that into practice! There are loads of opportunities to fail in the real world aren't there?! The one diet that definitely delivered for me was wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box below, they have a handful of free trials remaining, it has been featured in Fox News and CNN. I melted away twenty five pounds, it definitely does produce results!
References :
http://fenocenelke.garmet.co.uk

Multigyms are excellent but have their limitations. For one, they take up a lot of space.

They allow you to exercise on your own with heavy weights. However, they don't push your body in the same way as free weights. Just typ in multi gym into google. I'm sure there will be hundreds of websites. Argos used to sell them?
References :
it has alot more to do with training than the equipment you use so the multigym will work just fine.
References :
No, there's not. Neither the company or seller are required to carry any sort of spare parts for the machine. ALL that is required is that they either fix or replace the machine during the warranty period - which I'm guessing has long since expired.
References :
No, unforunately...unless you have some kind of lifetime warranty...then that's usually with the manufacturer of the treadmill and you have to go through them.
References :
The one that will be better for you is the one that you will use regularly - Both will burn calories and help you lose weight, but the real question is: which one will you use? I personally prefer a recumbent bike, I find that I will use it for longer periods of time than the others.

Pick the one that you know you will commit to regular workouts.
References :
http://www.exercisebikes4fitness.com

I like the elliptical, but the stairclimber burns the most out of all the machines. Either way try doing intervals, it keeps your body from getting used to a movement and therefore burning less calories. You can get a good workout on any of the machines though.
